A Serious Bead Collectors' Dream. The majority of beads are of Venetian and Bohemian (Czech) origin; traded to Africa in exchange for gold, ivory, palm oil, etc.

The central bead is an early, 7 layer glass chevron bead dating to as far back as the 1490's when Venetian glass makers relocated to Murano, Italy. Two cylindrical Blue, Red, and White chevrons - a 5 layer and 6 layer - are from the mid 1800's to early 1900's.

Other glass beads include faceted yellow "Vaseline" beads (bicone) Bohemian wedding beads traded to Mali, Venetian melon beads, "Good Eye" beads, and more
