RELIGIOUS PLAQUES
Carol Tate combines decoupage and a technique similar to that of the Spanish Folk Art Retablos. Saintly and Divine images on a thick, gesso-like textured wood plaques are etched, painted, and guilded. Each is unique and one of a kind. Embellished with such fancies as beads, silver wire, chain, jewelry finds, tinwork, and milagros. All plaques with chain on reverse to hang. The small plaque also has a hinged "foot" for placement on a mantle, shelf, or dresser.
